How this plan lives

At a thousand square feet, the Newport stops being "the unit out back" and becomes the second house. It asks the most of the lot. Setbacks, open space, sometimes a conversation about how the main house and the new one share the yard — the Newport is the plan where we spend the most time on siting before anyone falls in love with the floor plan.
